A Court Reporters’ Job Description

To keep record and evidence of the dealings that take place in a court session a court reporter is needed.  The court reporter is responsible to write down  all official statement and words spoken inside the court. It is imperative that court reporter be able to work quickly, as not to miss what is being stated. Lawyers seeking to petition their case, base their arguments on the exact statements made and completed during the trial. The court justices then make use of the transcripts taken during the trial, as well as the argument made for an appeal to write their point of views.  For that reason, it is simply to note  how seriously important to have precise court reporters to sustain an effective court system. Moreover, court reporters may be asked to record cross- examinations, interrogations, statements and other pieces of pre- trial procedures.
