My Parents Are Having Roof Cleaning Done

My parents called last weekend told me that they were finally going to have that roof cleaning that I have been telling them that they needed for a year. My father did not think that I knew what I was talking about and had a roofing company come out to tell him what was causing the black streaks. They told him that it was algae and that he needed to have a professional roof cleaning company come out and take care of it for him. First of all, I cannot believe that the roofing company actually knew what it was and told him the truth, and second, I am shocked that he is paying to have it done.
