He Taught Them to Love the Outdoors
My father in law was a salt of the earth kind of guy. He worked hard and he played hard, usually in the great outdoors. His family did a lot of camping and he loved to fish. He preferred to go alone and get away from it all in nature. When he did take the boys, he would show them the “fly fishing basics” on his favorite streams. Several of his sons still fish today, and are probably teaching their kids as well. Of course, there is no such things as legacy that encompasses only one thing, but this is something that really sticks out in my mind.
